TT-total! No celebrations for Chelsea, even if they win FA Cup

Thomas Tuchel has told Chelsea’s players there will be no time to celebrate if they beat Leicester City in the FA Cup final… because they must immediately begin preparations for another crunch clash with the same opponents.

The Blues have the opportunity to garnish their impressive recovery under Tuchel with some silverware at Wembley on Saturday.

However, a lacklustre 1-0 loss to Arsenal in midweek leaves their top-four hopes in the balance.

They slipped behind Leicester and are now fourth in the standings, knowing Liverpool could be just a point behind them by the time they host Brendan Rodgers’ side on Tuesday.

“There are no celebrations, no celebrations planned. These are special times,” Tuchel told reporters.

“If we win there’s nothing planned. It’s a bit too close that we play on Tuesday again.

“The situation in the league does not allow us to celebrate. We have two finals coming up and want to win both of them.

“Tomorrow will have a huge physical impact and we need to be ready on Sunday to do a good recovery session and on Monday to prepare for the next games.

“If there are celebrations, we need to delay them to a little bit later.”

Tuchel has a mixed record in finals, winning the DFB-Pokal with Borussia Dortmund in 2016-17, having lost on penalties to Bayern Munich in the domestic showpiece 12 months earlier.

He won the 2019-20 Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue, having lost – again on penalties to Rennes – in the final of the former a year earlier. However, a 1-0 defeat to Bayern in last August’s Champions League final prevented a clean sweep.

“It’s very hard to learn from one final to the next final, because you never know how many years or months in between. Your opponent is different, your team is maybe different,” said the 47-year-old, who will lead Chelsea in the Champions League final against Manchester City later this month.

“A general rule is that the more tension, the more decisive character that a game has, the less new information you give. You have short, clear sessions.

“It’s not the moment to learn new stuff and implement new tactical tricks. It’s the moment to be confident and to be well aware what is our style of play, what are our strengths and encourage the players to be on their top level.”

At Dortmund, Tuchel explained his attempts to lighten the mood for such occasions extended to him playing as a goalkeeper in training.

“I gave a lot of confidence to my players,” he chuckled, having confirmed the far more able Kepa Arrizabalaga will be between the posts for Chelsea in the final.

“Laughter is always very, very welcome, but if you try hard to make the group smile it will not happen. It has to come naturally. If you don’t feel it, don’t do it

“The tension will grow once you arrive at Wembley. There will be a certain energy that maybe you cannot prepare for. Adapt to it, go for it and embrace the challenge.

“It’s normal to be excited and nervous.”

In terms of his own preparations when it comes to dealing with those nerves, Tuchel revealed he practices meditation.

“Just 20 minutes, breathe in, breathe out and try hard to do nothing,” he added.

“Some years ago I came into this. It helped me, it was a nice experience when I was between coaching Mainz and Dortmund.

“Sometimes I’m very disciplined and do it twice and day, sometimes I am not so disciplined for weeks.”

Discipline will be a watchword for Chelsea this weekend – especially immediately after full-time if they manage to secure the club’s ninth FA Cup.

Neymar has questioned French football’s lawmakers after being banned for Paris Saint-Germain’s Coupe de France final against Monaco next week.

The Brazil international was booked four minutes after being brought off the bench in Wednesday’s eventful 2-2 semi-final draw with Montpellier, which PSG won 6-5 on penalties.

Neymar, who sat out two matches after being sent off against Lille last month, has triggered a one-game suspension linked to his punishment for that previous offence.

The league’s disciplinary committee met and it has been confirmed Neymar will not be available for the showpiece against Monaco at the Stade de France.

Reacting to the news on his personal Instagram page, Neymar posted: “I would like to understand the reasoning of the guy who takes care of bookings in France! 

“That deserves applause. What a mess.”

Neymar’s outburst could land him in further trouble with disciplinary chiefs, having also hit out at referee Jeremie Pignard following the win against Montpellier.

“I play five minutes, I commit a foul and he gives me a yellow without even thinking,” Neymar posted on social media earlier this week.

“Thank you for suspending me for the final. I think it was personal.”

Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG may be relying on next Wednesday’s Coupe de France final to salvage their campaign.

They trail Ligue 1 leaders Lille by three points with two games to go – the first of those is at home to Reims on Sunday – and were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City at the semi-final stage.

Neymar penned a new four-year deal with PSG last week and has featured 29 times for the French giants in all competitions this season, scoring 16 goals.

Pep Guardiola said Manchester City’s wild 4-3 win over Newcastle United is a “good lesson” ahead of the Champions League final against Chelsea.

City returned to the pitch for the first time since clinching the Premier League title this week and Guardiola’s side survived a seven-goal shoot-out on Friday.

Powered by a Ferran Torres hat-trick, City erased two deficits to set an English record with their 12th consecutive away win – one more milestone after securing their third league title in four years on Tuesday. 

Following one or two days of “distractions” and just one training session, manager Guardiola said he was not expecting perfection against Newcastle as he made five changes to his XI, including giving 35-year-old goalkeeper Scott Carson his club debut. 

Carson made his first Premier League appearance since May 2011 for West Brom, a gap of nine years and 357 days. It is the sixth longest gap between appearances in Premier League history, and the longest ever for a goalkeeper.

With the ultimate prize looming in the Champions League final against Chelsea on May 29, Guardiola expects his team to learn from their close call in Newcastle.

Guardiola said during his post-match news conference after City recorded their 23rd consecutive unbeaten away game in all competitions (W21 D2) – the longest ever undefeated away run by a side in the top four tiers of English football, overtaking Notts County’s run of 22 in 2012.

“The way they fought and the way they run and the way they come back after 1-0, after 3-2, and being there and making a step forward – they know it. It’s not necessary to tell them.

“They know if you want to win or compete against Chelsea in the final, of course you have to earn it.

“It’s better to happen today. Then maybe, maybe it’s not going to happen in the final.”

Ferran Torres – who arrived from Valencia at the start of the season – became the youngest ever player to score a hat-trick for a team managed by Guardiola (21 years and 75 days), overtaking Gabriel Jesus who was 21 years and 218 days against Shakhtar Donetsk in November 2018.

“I’m delighted for the three goals,” Guardiola said. “He has incredible numbers for a first season in England, he has incredible numbers. He didn’t play for a period of two months, he didn’t play much and he came as a winger who can play on both sides.

“He can make incredible runs in behind but maybe we have to start to think about if he can play as a striker because every time he plays in that position he has a sense for goal, a real sense for goal.

“Today he produced an incredible first goal with the header, but the last two… I think the last one is an example of that intuition. It’s intuitive, to know exactly where the ball comes and being there to score a goal.

“He was fantastic all season and an incredible signing for us. He’s a young player and can play in three positions up front. Not just in one, he can play in three. But playing in the more central position the guy has an incredible sense of goal.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and “many others” will leave if Juventus fail to qualify for the Champions League, according to Christian Vieri.

It has been a forgettable season for Juve, who had their run of nine consecutive Serie A titles snapped by newly crowned champions Inter, amid doubts over Ronaldo and first-year head coach Andrea Pirlo.

Pirlo’s position is under intense scrutiny as Juve languish fifth in the table, with Champions League qualification now out of their hands ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Inter.

Ronaldo also continues to be linked with a move away from Juve amid reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain and former club Manchester United.

Italian great Vieri – who played for both Juve and Inter – warned of a mass exodus if the Bianconeri were absent from Europe’s premier club competition for the first time since 2011-12.

“For me, Inter will win in Turin and Juventus won’t play the Champions League next season,” Vieri said via his Twitch program ‘Bobo TV’.

“Without Champions League football, Ronaldo will leave and many others will follow him, Juventus will face a severe financial crisis.

“It will be a dramatic failure and many players will leave.”

Juventus have conceded at least one goal in each of their last 13 games in all competitions; they last suffered a longer such run in 1955 (21 games in a row).

After winning 2-0 in the reverse fixture, Inter could claim two consecutive Serie A games against Juve for the first time since 2003-04 under Alberto Zaccheroni, while the Nerazzurri last beat the Bianconeri on the road in the league in 2012.

Ronaldo made his senior debut with Sporting CP against Inter via a Champions League qualifier in August 2002. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored four goals in 10 matches in all competitions against the Nerazzurri (W5 D4 L1).

Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Granada keeps the pressure on Atletico at the top

It is starting to look like a two-horse race for the LaLiga title as rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid battle it out for top spot.

Barcelona’s midweek draw has put a serious dent in their chances but last night’s victory over Granada keeps Real within two points of leaders Atleti.

There is also still plenty to be decided elsewhere, with Real Sociedad, Real Betis and Villarreal engaged in a three-way fight for Europa League football.

Things are no clearer at the foot of the table, where any of the bottom six could feasibly still be relegated or climb to safety.

Athletic Bilbao vs Real Madrid (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Real will have to do things the hard way if they are to edge ahead of city rivals Atleti into top spot — they face a tricky game against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday and host Villarreal on the final day of the season.

Athletic have proved to be difficult opponents for Zinedine Zidane’s men. They beat Los Blancos in the Spanish Super Cup earlier this season and have drawn four times with Madrid over the past four campaigns.

But the reigning champions will be confident of keeping the pressure on Atleti. 

Real come into this one on a remarkable 16-match unbeaten run, though only a win will do in Bilbao.

Atletico Madrid vs Osasuna (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Dangerman Ante Budimir will be Osasuna’s biggest threat on Sunday

Atletico overcame arguably their toughest test of the run-in by beating Sociedad in midweek and will fancy their chances of picking up maximum points once again.

Opponents Osasuna find themselves lodged firmly in mid-table and have been in largely inconsistent form, winning just one of their last four matches.

Diego Simeone’s side have the league’s best defence (0.64 goals against per 90 minutes) and have only conceded more than one goal in a game once since February 8.

But they will need to watch out for Osasuna frontman Ante Budimir. He is Los Rojillos’ top scorer with 10 for the season and has netted three times in their last two outings.

Barcelona vs Celta Vigo (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Barcelona’s title chances now appear slim after they were unable to secure victory against Levante on Tuesday night.

That 3-3 draw leaves the Blaugrana four points off the pace with just two games remaining — it is hard to see leaders Atleti dropping that many points when they have only lost four times in 2020-21.

Ronald Koeman’s men have won just once in the last four and come up against a Celta Vigo team finishing the campaign strongly, with four wins on the bounce.

Real Betis vs Huesca (Sunday, 5.30pm)

It is now nine matches unbeaten for Betis, though incredibly only two of those games have ended with Los Verdiblancos picking up all three points.

They will need to keep that run going to ensure the Estadio Benito Villamarin is hosting Europa League football next season — only Betis’ head-to-head record is keeping them in sixth place ahead of Villarreal.

It will not be an easy task against a Huesca side sitting just one spot outside the relegation zone.

The Aragonese outfit have won two of their last three, beating Real Sociedad and Athletic Club — and they will be ravenous for another scalp in their quest for survival.

Villarreal vs Sevilla (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Villarreal’s players and supporters will understandably have one eye on the Europa League final — but first they need to make sure they are playing in the competition again next season.

The Yellow Submarine are currently only in line for a place in UEFA’s inaugural Europa Conference League. However, they will be confident of ousting either Sociedad or Betis to finish in the top six.

Sevilla will provide a stern test. Despite their late title challenge fading, they will still be aiming to overtake Barcelona in third and have only lost once in 11 matches.

But Villarreal will be boosted by Gerard Moreno’s return to goalscoring form. 

The 22-goal striker had gone three league games without finding the net but now has two in his last two outings for Unai Emery’s team.

Masharti mapya yaliozua utata

Mapema mwaka huu , WhatsApp ilitangaza mabadiliko kuhusu masharti ya huduma yake.

Ilisema kwamba baadhi ya data yake kutoka kwa wateja wake kama zile za mawasiliano na maelezo mafupi zitagawiwa kampuni ya facebook na kwamba pia itaweza kufanya hivyo hivyo na mitandao ya Instagram na Messenger.

Watumiaji kutoka Muungano wa Ulaya na Uingereza , ijapokuwa ni sharti wakubali masharti mapya mabadiliko hayo hayatakuwepo katika akaunti zao. Masharti hayo mapya yalizua wimbi la maswali kuhusu masharti ya faragha.

Baadhi ya watumaiji walianza kutafuta mbadala wa WhatsApp kama vile Telegram au Signal. Ni kutokana na ukosoaji kama huo WhatsApp iliamua kuahirisha siku ya mwisho ya masharti hayo hadi Mei 15 ili kufafanua uvumi na habari za uongo kuhusu swala hilo.

”Tunataka kufafanua kwamba masharti hayo mapya kuhusu sera hiyo hayaathiri kwa njia yoyote faragha ya ujumbe ambao wateja husambaziana na marafiki zao au familia”, ilisema kampuni hiyo.
